SelectAccount business partner receives award from the Institute for HealthCare Consumerism

SelectAccount, a leading provider of medical spending accounts including HSA, FSA, HRA and VEBA accounts and WalletDoc consumer tools, announced that one of their business partners will receive a 2015 Superstar Award from the Institute of HealthCare Consumerism (IHC). The awards will be presented at the Fifth Annual IHC Forum West, which will take place November 16–18, 2015 in Las Vegas.

Debbie Connelly, Vice President of Human Resources at Hyland with over 1900 employees all over the world including North America, Latin America, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, South Africa and Japan, will receive the “Most Effective Employee Empowerment Award.”

As part of their employee benefits package, Hyland offers a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) paired with an HSA. This past year, Hyland chose to do a full replacement of their HSA Administrator looking for a company that offered high-quality customer service as well as various plan offerings. After a recommendation to SelectAccount, the Hyland team decided to offer the ThriftSaver HSA to all employees and in order to ensure their employees were equipped with all the tools and knowledge needed to stretch their HSA dollars further, they paired their offering with WalletDoc – a suite of consumer tools to guide people as they make decisions along the continuum of care.

Hyland worked closely with SelectAccount to plan and implement two days of open enrollment meetings for their employees. These meetings included 4 sessions each day where they introduced SelectAccount as their new HSA Administrator, provided a transition timeline to employees and provided live demos of SelectAccount’s products and features. The timeline assisted employees with the overall transition of their current HSA, while training them on how to manage their accounts using the Online Member Service Center as well as how to navigate WalletDoc.

“Hyland deserves this award as they have embraced CDHP strategies in a way that encourages their employees to become active consumers making smarter health care choices. As we shift into the next generation of HSAs, we’re excited to be a part of this transition in Hyland’s benefit package offering through our ability to offer more than a financial account by incorporating consumerism tools, which helps people spend their money wisely,” said David Cantu, Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Public Relations at SelectAccount.

“Partnering with SelectAccount as our HSA administrator and pairing our HSA offering with WalletDoc is the first step in empowering our employees to take control of their health care expenses, allowing them to make smarter choices for their medical needs and savings potential,” said Debbie Connelly, Vice President of Human Resources at Hyland.
