Adoption Assistance Program (AAP)
An adoption assistance program is an Important part of a family-friendly and inclusive benefits package and has grown in popularity over the years. This program allows employees to set aside pretax dollars from their paycheck to cover the high cost of adoption expenses.
Reimbursable expenses include, but are not limited to:
- Adoption application and home study fees
- Legal fees and court costs
- Travel and lodging expenses for domestic and foreign adoptions
Extra savings
Money is contributed via payroll deductions, allowing employees to contribute pretax dollars and reduce their taxable income. Like a flexible spending account, any unused money will be forfeited at the end of the plan year.
Reduced administration
Employees can manage getting reimbursed themselves by logging in to their Further account. We offer a single platform for managing all accounts.
Flexibility and options
Because employers decide how much to contribute and what medical expenses the account can be used for, employees have a financial incentive to control and manage their health care spending.
